Coleman road is pleased to present In The Dark. Our opening exhibition explores the artistic stomping grounds between visual representation and personal experiences by bringing together three artists who’s work examines imagination, image and symbolism. The title derives from the final chapter of David Levi Strauss' book Between the Eyes.
"This is the way the images projected before us differ from the phantasmagory of dreams. Though they often reflect and invoke the dream images, these projected ones are always more pointedly relational, more direct, more beautiful, more cruel. They have sharp edges that cut like knives, separating us from them.”
